Tenkara Boot Camp - Tanuki Fishing Hangout

Eastern Sierra streams are perfect for tenkara fishing. Tenkara Boot Camp designed for all levels of tenkara fishers ranging from novice to expert. It is the first tenkara community gathering in CA. One intensive day of seminars and hands-on workshops by tenkara fishing experts from around the country. Seminars will cover from fundamentals of tenkara fishing to advanced level topics. Workshop will be hands-on practice on casting, catching real fish from the property fish pond and fishing with tenkara rods. Join BBQ from 4:30 PM to 7:30PM.

Mid October is the best time for capturing autumn leaves in photos and fishing in the Eastern Sierra. Cardinal Village Resort is located in the heart of autumnal foliage and fishing creeks. Bishop Creek runs though the resort and is full of fish.

Online Ticket $35 before Oct 5th (including lunch on Oct 13) - Ticket will be available on July 15.

Online Ticket Close Oct 10. Walk - in $45.00

Bring your own favorite drinks and anything you want to BBQ. - There is cafe at the resort.

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Workshops including: Casting, Fly Tying, Catching Fish.

3:30PM - 4:30 PM Optional Fishing Tournament (game at the property pond)

5:00 Social event, BBQ and casting around and fishing groups forming

Sunday: Groups fishing

Sunday : Golden Trout Wilderness group leave at 7:30 AM and leave Mt. Whitney Restaurant at 9:00.

Tenkara Boot Camp is being held at Cardinal Village Resort in Bishop, CA. Mammoth Lakes Airport is the closest if you are flying out of LAX.
