Rober Worthing

Rob Worthing, MD, has had rod in hand for over 30 years. An avid angler, climber, backpacker, Navy veteran, and wilderness medical professional, he has appeared in a variety of fly fishing magazines, books, television shows, and events at regional, national, and international levels. He is a certified guide and founding member of Tenkara Guides LLC, creator of TROutreach, and a proud member of Team Oni USA. After 5 years of fishing and guiding in Utah, Rob moved to Lexington, where he continues to fish and guide on Kentucky’s trophy tailwaters.

Frank Burr

Frank has been fishing with tenkara rod since he was 6 years old. Frank is a board member of Pasadena Casting Club, VP of Snow Bee and a golden trout guiding specialist. He had been an Orvis fishing and casting instructor for more than years in Pasadena.

Chris Leonard
Chris Leonard is a teacher at Mammoth High School. His greatest passions are education and fly fishing, making him a choice fly fishing instructor and on-water guide. He guides through Kittredge Sports during the summer, also weekends and holidays during the school year. Rivers and lakes. Tenkara and Western rods. He has lived in Mammoth Lakes full-time since 2004. His favorite waters to fish and guide include the Owens River, Hot Creek, Rush Creek, Rock Creek, San Joaquin River, East Walker River, and Crowley Lake.
Chris has traveled and fish around the world. Anywhere there is fish, Chris will be there.

Matt Smett
Matt Sment has been guiding and instructing Tenkara anglers for over 6 years. He is a regular presenter at the Appalachian Tenkara Jam, Midwest Tenkara Fest, fly-fishing expos, and Trout Unlimited events. His articles have been featured in Kype, Tenkara Angler, and Wisconsin Trout magazines. Matt is proud to call the trout-filled spring creeks of the Wisconsin Driftless region his home water, but enjoys applying the principles of tenkara fishing to pursue a wide variety of species. He is a former US Army Paratrooper and a graduate of the North Carolina Outward Bound Outdoor Leadership school. His career in the outdoor education, leadership, and training fields stretches over two decades.

Luong Tam

Luong Tam, Tanuki-San, Owner and founder Tenkara Tanuki rod company. He is a rod designer, engineer and fly caster. He is also a member of Golden Gate Angling Casting Club, Oakland Casting Club, Long Beach Casting Club and Pasadena Casting Club.
In the last four years, Luong has been giving presentations, seminars, workshop and clinics around the country including at FFI, trade shows, fly fishing events and fly fishing clubs. He is also getting involved teaching children around California.
Fly fishing and rod building is his passion
